Statement Still Lifes

Use what you’ve learned about composition to design your own still life

Studio Project Prompt:

Make a still life that includes three related objects. Then, applying what you know about composition, create  an interesting arrangement.

Parameters:

  • Select three objects that illustrate an idea when displayed together.
  • Consider space and perspective, and how the objects overlap one another as you arrange your still life.
  • Emphasize lighting, texture, and color to create a dynamic composition.
  • Use the medium of your choice.
