Natural Design

Use what you’ve learned to comment on the world around you

Studio Project Prompt:

Develop an artwork that communicates an idea about the natural world.

Parameters:

  • Is there an issue related to nature that interests you? Research it, take notes, and use what you learn to develop your idea.
  • Think broadly or locally (or both!).
  • You may work in any medium, but be sure to choose one that supports your message.

Experiment at Home:

  • Read a local newspaper to learn about an issue affecting your community.
  • Experiment with materials you find in your yard, a local park, or your recycling bin.
