Design a Maquette for an Installation

Use what you’ve learned about working with form to make a site-specific artwork

Studio Project Prompt:

Choose an area at your school that you find boring or uninteresting. Experiment with form to design an installation for that space.

Parameters:

  • Select a space at your school and then get permission to install an artwork there.
  • Make sketches, take measurements, and think about how your work will interact with or transform the space.
  • Consider form as you develop your design.
  • Create a maquette and experiment with materials.
