Geometry is the basis of everything for British artist Annatomix. Her murals resemble delicately folded paper magnified to an enormous scale. The British artist uses a variety of materials, including acrylic spray paint, pastels, graphite, and ink to create her angular animals.

In the example above, which is located in Sweden, the artist uses careful shading to create the illusion that the shapes overlap one another. She adds broad bands of color and narrow vertical stripes that mimic trees receding into a distant landscape.

Annatomix explores science, history, religion, and philosophy in her work. “These studies are the foundation for my artistic practice and the source of everything that I produce,” she explains.
