Up the Wall
How does this sculpture bend your expectations?
This truck is not part of some odd accident or action movie. It’s a work of art! Austrian artist Erwin Wurm created this crazy sculpture, titled Truck, for a street in Germany.
The artist bent the back of an old red Mercedes truck into a curve. Then he carefully installed it against a building. The back wheels appear to be riding up the wall in a gravity-defying stunt. The work’s flawless design makes it seem like a cartoon come to life.
The artist is famous for bending, twisting, and distorting vehicles into humorous and unexpected shapes. This sculpture looks so real that a police officer issued it a parking ticket!
