Nick Cave uses manufactured toys and found objects to create Soundsuits. Performers wear these suits and often produce sounds as they move. Chris Burden pushes Calder’s technique of balancing abstract shapes on slender wires to the extreme in his Porsche With Meteorite, which counterbalances a 390-pound meteorite with a working 1974 Porsche.
