How does this artist use fruits and vegetables to create miniature sculptures?
Romanian artist Ioana Vanc finds inspiration in her refrigerator. And spoons are her canvases! She uses fruits and vegetables to make delectable, detailed art.
“I love painting, but I think using food in order to create art is much more fun and interesting,” she told Scholastic Art.
Vanc draws her designs on paper. Then she cuts the drawings apart to use as patterns. With common tools, such as toothpicks and scissors, she cuts and layers the food to arrange each tiny image. What foods can you spot in the images above?
